I know I haven’t posted anything for a while, we have been busy with other things. I have been getting stoked on bodysurfing and have a couple of Plantation grown Palownia Timber handplanes with recycled neoprene handles. Heaps of different sizes to choose from. All individually constructed in the Sideslippin’ laboratory. If your keen just give us a holler!

There’s a hella rad film festival being run at the Sorrento Cinemas this coming weekend, 25-27th of March, well worth making the trip down and checking out these independent movies on the big screen.

On Saturday Jan Juc played host to the annual Bolt Blowers teams event to raise awareness for men’s mental health.

It was an epic day, lots of smiling faces and old school single fins, instead of a minute’s silence for one the organiser’s friend who took his own life, it was thirty seconds of noise to kick off the day’s action, and it kicked in the stoke.

Plenty of classic waves, with Troy Brooks took out the individual award and the Metro team won the event. The after party kicked on at the Jan Juc Cricket Club where DJ Eddy played, no doubt got freaky and the good times remembered.

I’m looking forward to more events like this around the country for a good cause.
